I am British-born and American raised by an artist mother and military officer father. It was a confusing, strict and wonderfully creative household, but it taught me discipline while experiencing the thrill of travel. It was an incredible opportunity to meet and engage with diverse and exciting people while exploring the world - and my imagination.

My passion for photography is the inspiration of one particular picture my grandmother shared with me at the impressionable age of 14. The photo was of my great-grandmother, Margaret Valentine. I didn't know her, but I like to think of her as Maggie. In the image, she is wearing this beautiful party dress and playing with a little dog. In an instant, that photograph told me a lot about the person she was and planted this idea for my own approach to portraiture.

My passion is to photograph you, your unique smile and beautiful expressions in a completely natural way. The end result is a personal work of art that you and your family will treasure for years.

I don’t use a stuffy studio or bright lights that typically make people feel awkward. My gift is capturing people in comfortable surroundings using natural light and occasional fill flash where necessary.
